Human Rights Day Campaign

The African Monarch Group is committed to assisting young women in discovering and embracing their identities. Human Rights Day provided us with the opportunity to promote unity through creative visual representations within our community. The House of Girls was established by Riana Gaspar and is supported by Matthew Mensah, both foreign nationals. Currently, 38 children are accomodated at the home, all enrolled in school. The home offers a safe residences for children who have survived abuse situations, predominantly linked to child trafficking and abuse in the city of Johannesburg. The children are reunited with their familles where possible and when in the child's best interest. THe home also supports families in vulnerable situation through capacity building of life skills including initiatives to learn baking and cooking skills and ensures school aged children are fed in schools. The House of Girls is also a home to foreign national girls. As responsible citizens, promoting peaceful coexistense and supporting humanity is our duty. The Human Rights Day initiative was fueled by the idea of equipping and mobilizing royal princesses to impact and empower young people in Gauteng.

Our objective was to reach, support, educate, and show love and care to vulnerable children, thereby promoting Ubuntu. It was a dream come true for the girls to encounter South African royalty for the first time! On Human Rights Day, we strive to educate our peers about the importance of respecting the fundamental rights of all individuals regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or nationality. Each princess contributed toward purchasing four gift box sets containing beauty products, which were given as gifts to every underprivileged girl child on the day. In just one week, we collected sixty gift box sets and books worth R3,000 through our efforts to reach out to friends, family members, and other royal networks.

During the event, mentorship, interactive games, and dance exercises helped the kids build self-confidence and tap into their hidden skills. Although South African Royal Princesses cannot eradicate all forms of gender-based violence in South Africa, they have demonstrated through this project that they can train youngsters to resist these challenges. By providing various answers to address these issues, South African Princesses aspire to create substantial improvement via smaller actions. The ultimate objective was to convert this day into a learning, present-giving occasion where young adults could understand they are cherished and looked after. Encouraging them to pursue their ambitions has the power to generate optimism and inspiration in them. Most importantly, this endeavor sought to profoundly influence the lives of numerous cultures for the greater good. Educating the young is an imperative investment in the future of a community, a kingdom and ultimately a country. Princesses play a vital role in extending reach into lives of many hopeless and vulnerable children living in South Africa. After the function, the girls pledged to lead richer lives; hence, our presence, consideration, presents, and encouragement touched their hearts. This effort offered precious lessons on fortitude and compassion. The African Monarch Group feels proud of doing something beneficial for humanity.
