Our mission is to amplify the voices of communities at a grassroots level by empowering the people of rural and peri-urban communities in South Africa to promote community upliftment, women and youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, social cohesion, and advance education, technology, agriculture, and health. We are committed to preserving South African culture, heritage, and arts, land restoration, and advocating for human rights in rural and peri-urban areas.
Founded by HRH Princess Azola Mabinza, The African Monarch Group collaborates with Royal Houses and Traditional Councils to foster economic involvement and village area development under the leadership of traditional leaders. Through the South African Royals who serve on the African Monarch Group, the Traditional Councils can work towards empowering community members in inclusive sports development, cultural heritage preservation, tailoring, artistic pursuits, technology and agriculture. By providing training in value addition, community members are enabled to participate in both domestic and global trade networks. Additionally, the group campaigns for the establishment of sporting programs, production facilities, cultural centers, and technologically advanced incubators, further supporting community growth and development.

Official engagements to be undertaken by Royal Family members of the African Monarch Group are to be extended up to two months in advance.

On the 9th of August (Women's Day) the Sports For Social Change Network in patnership with the Leading Like Mandela Foundation hosted the 2nd annual edition of the Arise Women of Africa Symposium aimed to create a platform for African women to come together, share experiences, discuss challenges and explore opportunities advancing gender equality in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals.
